Case Study - Local SEO for JS Chiropractic
The Goal
To help JS Chiropractic stand out in their local area by appearing on the map at the top of Google’s local search results pages.
The Back Story
JS Chiropractic are the newest Chiropractic clinic in the Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford area in Hampshire. JS Chiropractic founder, Joel had found it difficult to compete online with his well-established competitors who were already doing well in the organic search rankings and appearing on the map at the top of results. Joel had already published a new website using Squarespace and had completed done some basic SEO work but needed our expertise to take his business to the next level.
Our Objectives
- To achieve visibility to potential customers by making sure the JS Chiropractic website appeared on the map at the top of search results and also in the organic listings below.
What We Did
- A technical audit was done to establish exactly what still needed to be done to give the new website a solid search engine optimised foundation. This included setting up and rewriting meta titles and descriptions, H1 headings, adding alt text to images, correcting a canonical error and rewriting structured Schema data which was showing errors.
- Google analytics and search console were also set up to allow identification of quick wins, low hanging fruit and any further errors. JS Chiropractic’s Google business listing was also optimised and we advised Joel on the importance of customer reviews and how to get more of them.
- Writing content that meets Google’s EEAT requirements is of huge importance to achieve top rankings and as a keen writer of blogs, Joel has been provided with advice to improve in this area. We reviewed existing content for Joel as part of this.
- Finally, we audited existing backlinks and built new directory style links to make sure all information regarding names, addresses, telephone numbers etc. were accurate and consistent.
The Results
- The JS chiropractic website is now on page one of Google when you search for “Chiropractor Eastleigh” or “Chiropractor Chandlers Ford”.
- Solid SEO foundations have been built, errors corrected and advice on content embedded allowing Joel to efficiently use his time when writing blogs to close the gap on his competitors.
- Joel reports that his phone has started to ring more often and his website is often cited as the way people have found him.
